Tokyo Comic Convention Co., Ltd. (CEO: Takehiko Goto) has announced additional celebrity guests for “Osaka Comic Convention 2025” (hereinafter “Osaka Comic Con 2025”), which will be held for three days from Friday, May 2 to Sunday, May 4, 2025 (national holiday) at INTEX Osaka (Suminoe Ward, Osaka City).

With the recent announcements of Sung Kang, Mads Mikkelsen, Hugh Dancy, Emily Rudd, and Daniel Logan attending, this year’s Osaka Comic Con is sure to be a massive hit once again. With less than a month to go, anticipation is growing for upcoming announcements such as stage schedules and exhibitor information. Now, the participation of Christina Ricci and Edward Furlong has officially been confirmed! Christina Ricci will appear on two days during the event, while Edward Furlong is scheduled to be present on all days. Photo sessions and autograph signings are planned at the venue during the event.

Christina Ricci began her acting career as a child and gained wide recognition for her role as Wednesday Addams, the cool-headed, intelligent, and dark-humored eldest daughter of the Addams family—complete with her signature braids—in the horror-comedy films The Addams Family (1991) and Addams Family Values (1993), co-starring Christopher Lloyd. She continued to build her filmography with a range of roles, including the friendly ghost hit Casper (1995) and indie cult favorite Buffalo ’66 (1998). Ricci also starred in several films with Johnny Depp, including Sleepy Hollow (1999) and The Man Who Cried (2000), which gained popularity in Japan as well.

Alongside her film career, Ricci has also appeared in television series such as Ally McBeal (1997–2002), Grey’s Anatomy (2006), and Pan Am (2011–2012). In 2022, the world was captivated by the release of Wednesday, a hit TV series based on the younger years of Wednesday Addams, Ricci’s iconic character. Ricci appeared in the series as Marilyn Thornhill, a botany teacher and the only “normie” at Nevermore Academy, delighting fans of the original films.

Edward Furlong skyrocketed to fame after being cast as the young John Connor in Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), a global blockbuster that left a lasting mark on film history. His performance earned him the MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Performance. His youthful looks and powerful performance drew widespread attention, especially in Japan, where he became even more popular than in his home country. He went on to star in a variety of films such as American History X (1998), Detroit Rock City (1999), The Green Hornet (2011), and Assault on Wall Street (2013), sharing the screen with renowned actors such as Kathy Bates, Tim Roth, Meryl Streep, and Liam Neeson.

Ricci and Furlong previously co-starred in John Waters’ 1998 comedy Pecker, making their upcoming reunion in Osaka a much-anticipated event for fans.

At Osaka Comic Con, you can participate in autograph sessions by purchasing an “autograph ticket” or in photo sessions by purchasing a “photo ticket.”
Please note that a separate admission ticket to Osaka Comic Con 2025 is required in addition to autograph/photo tickets.
